31st October is now celebrated nationwide as ‘ Ekta Diwas’ to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the “ Iron Man of India ” who in the true sense with his iron fist managed to bring the divided princely states under one national flag. This day is also remembered for a sad reason;
